Connecting Habitats Across the Globe

A global biodiversity initiative linking individual habitat spaces into a living, interactive network that supports migratory species and strengthens international cooperation.

What is Project SkyBridge?

Project SkyBridge is a global initiative that connects individual habitat efforts into a powerful, collective impact. From small balcony gardens to large community landscapes, each registered space becomes part of a growing network of “stepping stones” that support pollinators and migratory species.

By linking these habitats through an interactive map, local actions contribute to a global biodiversity corridor—helping wildlife move safely across regions and continents.

Why does it matter?

Biodiversity is declining worldwide, and migratory species are losing the connected habitats they need to survive.

Project SkyBridge addresses this challenge by:

  • Connecting fragmented habitats into a continuous network
  • Supporting birds, bees, butterflies, bats, and other pollinators
  • Encouraging cooperation across communities and countries

Every registered space—no matter the size—helps strengthen this global pathway.

How does it work?

Press HERE to register. Which best describes your space?

Pit Stop -- balcony or small space

Link -- yard or residential garden

Hub -- community or shared project

Anchor -- large-scale landscape

Projects of all types and scales are welcome. There is no minimum size requirement. Individuals, groups, and organizations can participate. If you are supporting habitat in any way, your project belongs on the map.

By joining you:

  • Contribute to a global biodiversity initiative
  • Help create pathways for migratory species
  • Be part of an international network of participants
  • Showcase your project on a global platform
  • Support environmental sustainability and peacebuilding efforts

Project SkyBridge is an initiative of the Earth Network Rotary Club. The project supports key Rotary priorities, including environmental stewardship, peacebuilding and conflict prevention.
